What's the durability?
The lid is glued on as well as the screw in the cork and glue reinforcing the chain the necklace goes in. Do not wear it in the shower or swim with it on. Do not sleep with it on. The vial is made of glass.
 
Can I open the vial? 
We recommend you do not open the vial if you want to keep everything intact. The cork lid is secured with B-7000 glue and will not budge unless forced open.
